The company was founded in 1968 by Fritz Kennel.  In 1995 today`s CEO, shareholder and Creative Director, Andreas Klautzsch, started his operations at Kennel & Schmenger. He took over a leading role in the rejuvenation of the company.

He now strives towards progressive brand development of this fashion led premium footwear label well known for its quality and comfort.
